Will you join me as I’m weaving faith into stories?
We all use faith in life. We may believe in the goodness of a friend or family member. Or put faith in an institution such as government or a social service. Some of us even believe in a supernatural God.
We all struggle in life. Money troubles can be a problem. Good relationships can fall apart. Our health may fail today or tomorrow. Our friends and family can help us through these situations, but what happens when they are occupied or struggle with their own problems?
Jesus, the Son of God, said,
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
In my novels and stories, characters will face problems much the same way you and I do. They’ll make bad decisions. They’ll withdraw from their relationship with God. They’ll seek satisfaction somewhere else. But ultimately, they’ll learn God is good and doesn’t abandon them at the first sign of trouble. He’ll direct them onto the right path, dealing with any hindrances on the way. I hope to encourage us in the faith through my stories and that we will trust in the Lord more
