Sometimes in life, things can derail you, but it’s best to get to get back on track and keep moving forward as soon as you can. This is what I’m going to do as well.
Since the last time I posted, I’ve worked on a personal poem. In life we can experience mountain tops of great experiences or valleys of harder ones. I wrote about a valley I experienced and I’ll share a line from it.
“My God is faithful to His words of promise.”
Gratitude for Pain
I’m glad God is faithful to his promises, especially the promise of his presence to all believers. No matter what valley I’m in, God will always be my companion. Great peace floods the soul from knowing that. I hope it does for you.
Some of you may wonder at the title of the poem “Gratitude for Pain.” While I’m hurting, it is hard to be thankful, yet it is in those moments that God draws me deeper into knowing him. Without the pain, I’d never know the richness of the love of God nor the constancy of his presence nor the length of his faithfulness. After time and reflection, I’m then able to thank him for these gifts and keep moving forward.
